Sovereign Grace Baptist Church continues its ministry and remains an active congregation. However, we are not currently meeting at the Popwellville location.
The church building, located at 226 Willow Drive in Hortense, Georgia 31543, has never been offered for sale, has never been sold to any party, and no permission has been granted to any individual or group to occupy or use it. Any meetings or services currently being held at this location are not services of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church and are not conducted under our authority.
Since January 2026, we have been unlawfully locked out of our building by individuals who were excluded from the membership of this congregation. None of these individuals hold any office, authority, or membership in Sovereign Grace Baptist Church. This matter remains unresolved.
